SAIMUN is the first ever annual Model United Nations conference to be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This year’s second conference features delegations from seven international schools in the local area, with over 170 students participating as delegates, officers, members of the Herald Press team and administrative staff.

MUN conferences promote student and teacher interest in international relations and related subjects, increase the capacity for students to engage in problem solving, teach aspects of conflict resolution, compromise and cooperation and, furthermore, create the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

SAIMUN will not only get students involved in the discussion of global issues, but also encourage the development of skills useful throughout their lives, such as research, writing, public speaking, conflict resolution and problem solving.

Looking forward to seeing you at SAIMUN 2010!
